Beverly Benster is a Gynaecologist who trained with Professor John Studd and has a special interest in problems related to the menopause. She completed her training at the University of Nottingham where she also trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has subsequently worked as a gynaecologist in Malta and at The Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London.

As research fellow to Professor John Studd at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital she learnt about management of the menopause and premenstrual syndrome.  Her research focussed on the use of natural progesterone cream for management of the menopause.

Areas of expertise:

  • Menopause
  • Bio-identical hormones
  • Lifestyle management

Her personal treatment philosophy is "prevention is better than cure", and she says that she chose to specialise in gynaecology, "to help make the postmenopausal years the best years". She says that a good day in the office is when she can cycle to work, have decent coffee and enjoy the company of happy patients. She also says that the single most important advice that she can give her patients is;

"The right hormones are very important but don’t overlook good nutrition, exercise and sleep"
